It used to be very simple when done via adaptation channel 42, but can't figure out how it works on these newer cars. Original water pump fault is fixed, new water pump installed. But can't unlock heater. In basic settings, there is one option for unlock but it gives ERROR, request out of range. VCDS does not offer any security access codes either. I loved both but i did not know that the newer one does not have the AUX output to connect to a phone for calls or audio directions on the car radio system. It has a USB outlet but that reads media only.
Posted 30 March, 2015. I use the Lane Assist on the motorways. I also think the octavia MKIII Vrs is a bit twitchy when it's windy and using the Lane Assist tightens up the steering,, it makes the steering a bit heavier. 4.6k. Location: Cheshire. Then turn on the ignition and select reverse - if the sensor is working the radio display will show the reversing sensor diagram and be screaming as if you about to reverse into something. If selecting reverse still gives the 3 second 'error' beep then recheck the harness connection and carefully check where you cut the harness free in step 4.

Connect your device, press the 'Media' button on the radio unit and select 'Aux'. If 'Aux' does not appear as an option, then as others have already said, press 'Menu', 'Set', then 'Aux', and select one of the three available input levels. You may need to experiment to find which one matches your device best. If you push the volume control inwards the radio/media will switch off but stay on the same screen. One of my finds today thanks. It looks like I am going to have to wimp it and read the manual. You can mute it by pressing the volume thumbwheel on the steering wheel too.
